Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of The Stereotype: State Line (the "Game"), a digital pass-and-play board game provided by Jakob Tunebro ("we", "us", "the seller"). By accessing or continuing to use the Game you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Game.

Who you are contracting with

Your contract for the Game is with Jakob Tunebro, an individual seller. You confirm that you are of legal age to enter this agreement in your country, or that you have authority to accept these terms on behalf of the organisation you represent.

The product

The Game is a browser-based board game playable on a single device in pass-and-play mode. A free starter tier is available. Two one-time unlocks are offered: the Full Game Unlock (all four regions, up to 8 players or teams, all 100 State Challenge cards and the full Federal Regulation deck) and the After Hours 21+ Expansion (14 adult party cards, Strike Shot challenges and penalty sips). The After Hours content is intended for adults aged 21 or over and is optional.

Licence and restrictions

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Game within the tier you have unlocked, for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reverse engineer the Game, resell or redistribute it, or circumvent any technical limit, entitlement check or payment mechanism.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Game. In particular, you must not:

  • use the Game for any unlawful purpose;
  • engage in fraud, payment fraud, chargeback abuse or spam;
  • infringe the intellectual property rights of us or anyone else;
  • interfere with the security or integrity of the Game, including introducing malware, probing or scanning our systems, or scraping the Game or its content.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for activity carried out under your account, and for providing accurate account information.

Drinking and adult content

The After Hours 21+ Expansion references alcohol. It is your responsibility to play responsibly, to comply with the drinking laws where you are, and to ensure that everyone playing is of legal drinking age. Nothing in the Game encourages excessive or unsafe drinking, and you play at your own risk.

Intellectual property

We retain ownership of the Game and all intellectual property in it, including its software, board artwork, card text, rules text and branding. No rights are transferred to you other than the limited licence described above.

Service level

The Game is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of defects, and to the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Payment and subscription terms

Unlocks are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. Payment, billing, currency, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are handled by Paddle and governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms. Prices shown in the Game are per-region tiers and the final amount, including any tax, is confirmed at checkout.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Game for material breach of these terms, non-payment or reversed payment, suspected fraud or security risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. On termination your right to use paid content ends; locally stored game progress remains on your device until you clear it.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your unlawful use of the Game, content you submit, or your breach of these terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, and the courts of Sweden have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.

Changes, assignment and force majeure

We may update these terms; continued use after an update means acceptance. You may not assign your rights without our consent; we may assign ours as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
